All Time Low performing at Warped 2007 in Camden, NJ
Alternative Press’ 2008 tour is sure to be one of the tours not to miss this year. The nationwide tour begins next Friday in Houston, Texas, and has already sold out in Detroit, Philadelphia, and NYC. The tour combines an awesome blend of catchy pop-punk and alternative bands that are sure to keep you on your feet and rocking out the entire night. So, who’s in the lineup?
All Time Low
The Rocket Summer
The Matches
Forever the Sickest Kids
Sonny
Really, could this tour get any more fierce?!
For those of you who have not seen any of these bands in concert yet, trust me—it will be well worth the experience. While I’ll be the first to admit that the lineup consists of bands that sound like the cliché pop-punk bands that you used to listen to in high school (or in my case,
still listen to), don’t be fooled in to thinking this will make for a “lame” show. I can’t speak for all the bands in this lineup, but All Time Low and The Matches definitely know how to keep their fans enthusiastic, hyped, and yearning for the next song. I’ve seen both of these bands grow musically and gain a much respected fanbase, and while they are both on the brink of becoming your favorite “local band gone mainstream”, they are able to maintain a very close connection and interaction with the fans at their shows.
But I’m not going to try to convince you that this lineup is amazing because really, you should experience that on your own. I’m sure this tour will be one of the most unforgettable of 2008, so why miss out on that?!

3/5’s of it totally it uninteresting to me but the Matches and Sonny are reasons for excitement. Ultimately, E Von Dahl was the matches high point for me but they are still really good. I’m am very excited to hear Sonny, when he left FFTL, he took their sound because he has one of the strongest voices today and he can control it so well. Aesthetic-EP-era FFTL and post-Sonny ear just plain suck.
The other three actually annoy me and I won’t be looking for tickets anytime soon.
