The first time I heard of The Hard Lessons was when they did a free show along with Motion City Soundtrack at Cornell University. They definitely had a more indie rock sound, which, at the time, wasn’t my flavor. I was too busy obsessing over the upbeat, catchy pop rock tunes of Motion City Soundtrack to even care about The Hard Lessons.
Thankfully this all changed in a heartbeat.
As soon as The Hard Lessons began to performing, I could feel I was witnessing one of the best live performances I would ever see (besides maybe Men, Women, and Children). The Hard Lessons is the type of band that you’ll see live and know that these guys (and lady) are true musicians. They know their instruments well, they’re amazing at what they do, and did I mention their live show was the best I had ever seen?!
They recently put out a new music video for their song “12345678″. It’s definitely a creative video and I think the artwork suits the song fairly well. Check it out after the cut!
