We’re starting things off properly this week with our Monday Mix! Whether you have a long week ahead or had an intense weekend, new music always seems to do the trick (or at least it does for me)…
Band: Blameshift
Song: The Sirens are Set
Why it made this week’s list: It’s been a long time since I’ve heard a band that was rock enough to make me want to do just that–rock out. This track has an awesome intro and Jenny Mann’s vocals couldn’t have been any more perfect for this song. Blameshift will be out on tour this summer, so check their MySpace for tour dates!

Band: Motions
Song: Right the Resolution
Why it made this week’s list: I usually don’t like to point out how “young” the members of a band are, but that’s what makes Motions so impressive. To be so young and making quality music is definitely a reason why they had to be on our list!
Listen:
Band: Stay
Song: Coming Home
Why it made this week’s list: I’m pretty sure this song is destined to be your favorite song of the summer…so far it’s mine (even though it’s not summer yet)!
Listen:
Artist: Steven Loki Howell
Song: Sunshine
Why it made this week’s list: Steven is a very talented musician–it’s as simple as that. He has a soulful voice and “Sunshine” is an incredibly beautiful song. Ladies, here’s a challenge–try not to fall in love with this track!

If this were a contest, I would have to say that both the Blameshift song and the Stay song are pretty good, but Blameshift wins for the awesome guitar riffs.
