Why it made this week’s list: Panima is definitely the band to check out at this year’s Warped Tour, if you haven’t already done so. They’re nothing short of catchy rock beats and steller lyrics, and we’re sure they’ll be one of your new favorite bands by the end of the summer!

Band: Wide Eyed Kid
Song: You Need Vegas
Why it made this week’s list: On their MySpace, it says that Wide Eyed Kid sounds like “growing up”. As odd as that sounds, I couldn’t agree more–”You Need Vegas” sounds like all my favorite high school bands blended in to one.

Song: Bridges
Why it made this week’s list: Let’s do a bit of math here–Brand New + Cursive = The Harmless…except The Harmless are just as amazing and awesome to listen to.

Band: Glory Glory Gloria
Song: Going to the Dance With Calvin
Why it made this week’s list: While some people may not like the beginning of this song, I say those repeatative “techno” beats are code for “time to rock out and dance”–because that’s exactly what I do everytime I hit ‘play’ on this track!

Song: Ideals
Why it made this week’s list: We haven’t featured an indie/rock band in our Monday Mix in a dang long time–so as soon as we heard The XYZ Affair, we knew they were going up in our mix for sure!
