We are definitely big fans of The Matches here at Almost A-List, so it was a bit disheartening to hear that Justin San Souci, the long-time bassist for the Oakland quartet, will be parting ways with the band. In a blog entry posted on the bands’ MySpace yesterday, the now trio wrote:

“It disarranges us to relay that our long-time bassist and friend, Justin San Souci, will be parting from the role of bassist in the Matches to pursue other lives and loves. He, however, will not be parting from the role of friend. Change is not an easy thing, but it does not stop until life does. Our hearts go out to Justin for being brave and true to his heart’s pursuit.

We are definitely sad to see Justin go, but we’re glad he is leaving on good terms and will remain friends with the rest of the members in The Matches. We wish the best for whatever Justin decides to pursue in the future!
