Hip hop has not had a lady this brilliant since Lauryn Hill…

What made Lauryn Hill such a phenomenal artist is exactly what makes the artist in our 7th spot just as great–she has an old school r&b (Motown)/hip hop/pop feel to her music with some of the most genuine speak-your-mind-poetically lyrics. It’s been a while since we’ve heard a lady that not only tells a story through her music, but does away with the fake two beat synths and puts the art and passion back into music.

The song in our 7th spot is particularly amazing. It’s off her new album entitled The Stoop, and if it’s any representation of what that album sounds like, then I wouldn’t be surprised if this lady goes on to win a few Grammy’s…Oh, and did we mention this song is the theme song to New York Goes to Hollywood?

So what song are we talking about?!
